  1. I am quilt for a gal that is wanting to use 2 layers of warm & natural, need to know pros/cons. Do I need to adjust to a longer stitch length so that it does not create a tightness and cause it to pucker? All opinions welcome TIA, Diane on a Millie
  2. All suggestions on how to do this is appreciated! I have just finished the top for a new Christmas tree skirt. I want to put in on the longarm to quilt it (of course, isn't that why I bought it?). I want to put a ruffle on the bottom of it and I want the ruffle to be between the layers or something so that it looks 'finished', but I can't think of a way to do that, for some reason I can't come up with a solution on how to accomplish this. I am sure there is a SIMPLE answer on how to do this. Any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated. My thinking cap is thunk out........ Photo is attached to this post, the red circle is the new top, the other photo is of my old tree skirt that I quilted about 30 years ago on my domestic sewing machine, the ruffle was attached to the top, then the back attached, turned inside out after stitching the seams........pre-longarm! TIA, BobbieSue

  4. Hello Everyone! I am going to finish piecing (It's only half done in the picture below.) this friendship lattice quilt today and I am now looking ahead to quilting it. I don't want to quilt the white lattice as this is for my long-time best friend and I want all of her friends to sign it in this spaces, putting the year that they became friends in there as well. Does anyone have a suggestion for the quilting of the colored blocks? They measure 2 9/16" square. I don't have a long arm, so I am quilting this on my sewing machine with a free motion foot.
