KerryM
DELOA JONES; Scraps, Organized to Perfection; I just received this book in the mail today, and DeLoa signed it for me. Thank-you so much! I am so excited!........YEAH!!!!!I had done some organizing of my scraps in this same method, but had no idea what I would actually do with them. Now it all seems to make sense. I should have no problem finishing cleaning up and organizing my scraps now! What beautiful tops, and they could all be made from scraps!
KerryM
I must be the very last to receive this book, anyone else wanting this gem?
Stagecl
I don't have this book, but have made many scrappy quilts. I just love the look.
LeeAnn
Hi Kerry, I have the book too and did start organizing my scraps but haven't gotten too far. But I do plan to do this because right now my scraps "too big to throw away" are stuffed in a plastic box! Kind of a mess!
Sandra Darlington
I don't have the book, but I do save my scraps and they need some organization. I guess a book is in my future. I also LOVE scrappy quilts.
kimmiequilts
My friend teaches classes at the LQS called Scrap Therapy, it uses all sizes of scraps to make quilts, table runners, pot holders, etc... I guess we all have scraps being thrifty quilters! Organizing them should be like walking down memory lane, "Oh I remember this from the quilt I made for...". Maybe we need a scrap group?? ramona-quilter
I just got 2 of Deloa's books, Quilt Me a Garden and Deloa's Sampler Solutions, and she signed them for me, too with some feather flourish. I think that is nice. I had not really heard much about her work until MQS. I took her borders and sashings class and constantly use her designs now. I know that I will have some BOM quilts coming in so I got her Sampler book to help me with ideas for quilting those blocks so peoples quilts are not identical. She has some great ideas. The Garden book, well, it's about flowers and leaves and who doesn't use those in a quilt. Love it. I think I may have to get the Scraps book ,too. Thanks for the tip AnnHenry. victoriasews
Oh yeah, gotta love Deloa. I've made all her flowers in the Garden book and use those class sashings all the time, about a dozen of the 39 every week. She's my new best friend, you know. lol (even though She doesn't know it.) I wish I'd seen you in class, Linda. I'd have loved to have met you.
