Teri
I am having a difficult time seeing my stitches using clear MonoPoly. Does anyone have a suggestion for lighting or ?? to see the stitches? TIA Teri in ID
Rblrder
Teri, I sometimes use a flashlight to look underneath the quilt to check the stitches. Just a joke but it is invisible for a reason! What is harder than seeing them to check the stitches, is ripping them out! Try the flashlight that should be helpful! Have a wonderfully awesome day! ffq-lar
Teri--- Go to the search bar and enter "side lighting" to get to a great thread with some invaluable info from Darlene Epp about side lighting to see your stitching. I took her advice and bought a $13 under counter fluorescent fixture at Home Depot which you just lay across the rollers when you need it. You turn off the overhead light and the light on your machine and it's wonderful. This is the best site for sharing!!!Happy stitching! Teri
Hi Ramona and Linda, Thank you for responding. I will give both the flashlight and side lighting a try. Teri
Guest Linda S
I have a gooseneck light for side lighting and have no trouble seeing where I've been with the MonoPoly. That is great thread -- goes with everything and is fairly easy to use! I usually use Bottom Line in the bobbin when I'm running MonoPoly on the top. jeri
I have dimmer switches and sometimes turn the lights way down and just use the machine light, if that doesn't work I try doing the opposite unplug the machine light and turn the my ceiling lights up a bit or just use the sunlight coming in my basement windows as it side lights the stitching.
