marikds
I've chased down my top thread snapping problem. Whenever I'm close to the end of the bobbin (either prewound or wound by me) I have tension problems and my top thread snaps. This doesn't seem right to me-surely I should be able to use up all the bobbin?
SandraG
Sometimes I have problems with the end of the bobbins. I think it may have to do with inertia but am not sure. I will try and do some investigating. Sometimes my bobbin thread gets caught around the backlash spring. Maybe Dawn will have some ideas. I will ask her. hollyc
I have noticed the same thing. Thread breaks towards the end of the bobbin. I use mostly the prewound, and it isn't every bobbin.
smorris
If the problem is only happening as you near the end of the bobbin, try cleaning the blue backlash spring or replacing it. Its a good idea to have one or two on hand. Best wishes Sue in australia
