peglu
I got the same kind of invite to be among Macombs Who's who. Eventually, they will ask you for money. Sorry Sylvia, but this is probably not genuine. I would love to be you though. 172 Hankies!!! You lucky girl.
MarieBrewer
I got a scam letter today and the bottom line is if I invest $187.50 and mail 250 letters, I will have $800,000. I'm stupid, but not brain dead!!!
kimmiequilts
I got one of those a while ago, I shredded it!
BethDurand
I got an e-mail last night supposedly from some woman in England who has a terminal disease and wants to leave her money to a charity. Oh pulleese! Even I'm not that gullible!
quiltmonkey
I used to write those letters asking for money and I sent them out randomly to strangers but nobody ever wrote me back so I gave up. (just kidding)
seakitten
We know you're kidding, Shana, because if someone sends out enough of those letters, chances are someone, somewhere, will be dumb enough to respond.
quiltmonkey
Catherne, I hope nobody responds to these!! I get these sent to me every day in email. Sometimes they are sent to my PO Box.
ThreadWaggle
There are signs up at my back that warn about he email hoax of having you let people, that you don't know, EFT money into your account. I asked the receptionist about the notes when they first went up and she said that they had had several people give people their account information for money to be deposited into that were surprised when all their money was gone.
