Anyone else have this problem?

Recommended Posts

The Edit button is in the upper right corner of YOUR post. You will only see it on your posts.

So click Edit inside your post and under the test entry box, you'll see a Delete this attachment or something like that. (You DO NOT want to delete this message) That will delete that photo.

I believe there is also a Replace this attachment field where you can enter the correct file you wanted to post.

Then click Edit Post at the bottom of the page to finalize your edit.

Hope that helps.

The guinea pigs name is Enrico. He is the Hugh Hefner of pigs. The girls are in the cage next door. Enrico gets all purry and waggish if he goes within 2 feet of them The mom chipmunk, had 5 pig babies a couple of months ago. We kept the runt, gave the rest away. I will not put Enrico in a cage with girls ever again. Fortunately he is a good natured pig

and as long as he is near the girls he is content. He is always hopeful.

Hi Mimi,

I sent you a U2U on where to find the Edit button - you can't see it because your photo is too large - it

pushed the Edit button to the right. Remember that only

you can edit your post so you will

only see the Edit button on posts that you wrote. You will see Quote and Report buttons on posts

written by other folks. Clear as mud...

I thought that you might want to check out the size of the picture tht you planned to post so

you don't get another movie screen size photo.;) We have all had this problem. The digital

cameras are wonderful and they do make those wonderful high-resolution photos that enable

us to print our photos out. They come out so clear when they are high-res.

However, this forum likes to have photos that are about 640 x 480 pixels so we can easily view them.

Your photo of kitty and the pig is 1600 x 1200 so it's just a bit big. You'll see the difference

in the same photo when I repost it. Anyway, here is a procedure to re-size your photos.

It may look complex but I gaurantee that after you do it a time or two, it will be quite easy.

We love to look at quilt photos (well, pigs and grandkids, too). So please don't get discouraged.

Try this method on your quilt photo and then post it.

Resizing photos:

Most of todays computers have a program called Paint. It

comes with Windows and you an find it by navigating to

Start - Programs - Accessories - Paint.

Inside Paint, use your mouse to left-click File - Open - and

locate your photo where it is stored on your computer.

Once the photo displays inside Paint, click Image - Attributes

to see the current size of your photo. Anything bigger than

640 x 480 (or thereabouts) is hard to view on a post. But

before you resize it, do a Save As to save the photo with a

different name, like Ohio-star-640x480.jpg. This way you

don't overwrite your original photo. As soon as you do

the 'save as', the name at the top of the Paint window

changes so you'll know what image you are working on.

Now to make this new one smaller. Still in Paint, click Image -

Stretch/Skew.

The Stretch/Skew window opens. Notice the Stretch pane

shows 100% for horizontal and vertical. Change those 100's

to 25's. Click Ok.

Click Image - Attributes to see the new size of your photo.

Adjust, if necessary. Remember that the 640 x 480 is just a

guide. A little bigger or smaller is okay, too.

Click File - Save. You can upload this to the internet or to the forum.
