AnnHenry
Shana! I'm stunned that you have screens on your windows instead of storm windows in the winter! And in Alaska! I grew up in Wisconsin, and every fall we removed the screen windows and put on the storm windows. Great picture. I always wondered exactly how much, if any, sunlight Alaska got in the winter time. Speaking of the shortest day of the year, my friends Charlie & Mabel got married on December 21 because it was the longest night of the year. Just Sew Simple
When we visited Alaska (aka, my favorite of all vacations), we couldn't decide when to go to bed at night. We just waited and waited for it ot get dark and well.......

DoryJM
Great picture, Shana. I actually thought about you on 12/21 and wondered how much daylight you were getting. The days seem so short here in Northern CA, but I don't know the meaning of short compared to what you're getting. I find myself wanting to hibernate--I'd never survive up there! Merry Christmas
