kennan100
Well, I know Houston would get it for sure! I really encourage you to go for it! Especially if there is a series of them, it's amazing what people remember from one year to the next!
Terri S.
The cat is great! This is a very clever quilt. You should definitely try to get it into the Houston show. Terri S.
DawnCavanaugh
Nancy, What a great quilt! I'm so excited that you and George are getting along so well. It will be exciting to see it in person; I hope you get it into Houston. Now you must share the secret...many quilt artists include some type of "self portrait" in their work, whether obvious or subtle (even with your disclaimer about friends and similarities ). Are you the flip-flop babe or the sexy quilter?
Mrs.A
Dawn: There are many references to people I know and love in the quilt. I have twin grandchildren (a boy and girl) and hope that one day they may become interested in quilting. The gal in the red glasses (with the MOM tattoo) reminds me of my mother and grandmother (both quilters) who taught me how to sew. The gal in the center front (with red sneakers and day of the dead tee shirt) is most like me (although some believe it is a male quilter). Which one are YOU?
