jebm
This is one of the quilts I was to take from queen to king size--I want to make a quilt label--would like to know the name of the quilt. I've asked at guilds and older quilters and no one recognizes it! Any ideas? Thanks Jane
liz2075
I really don't know. I do see 8 pointed star blocks though. And then plain block and 8 pointed star blocks cut off to butt to the other blocks However, the 8 pointed stars seem to be done more like plain blocks with flying geese.... I cant see the seam lines lol
IBQLTN2
I think I have seen it in a book by Hariet Hargraves. not sure what it was called.
Susanne.Hughes
In Roxanne Carter's book "All Star Sampler", the block is called Snow Crystal. In your quilt above, it has been placed on point and the piecer has used a two colour scheme.
JBQuilts
I think Jeanne is right. I have it in a book by Harriet Hargrave and it is her design called Stars and Cubes, sashed and set on point.
JBQuilts
Now that I look at the pattern name, I guess if you take the sashing away the stars are no longer in a cube so maybe it is not the same pattern.
