myquilts
I have created a small picture file and entered the file name in the box that says: Avatar url. What else do I need to do to get my pic under my name? I am not a techie - but you probably guessed that!
roberta
That is all I did to get my avatar to appear. Did you get some sort of error message? Sometimes the pictures are too big. When I go to user panell, edit profile, and look at the box that says Avatar url.. it just has the url where my picture is stored. I don't know if that helps, I am not a techie either. Bonnie
Linda you photo has to be stored someplace where it can have a URL attached to it....like most of us we use Webshots for that...you download a photo and it will need to be pretty small in size then upload from webshots.... You find it at www.webshots.com its free for the basic level, you can pay for more if you want it....
myquilts
Thanks Bonnie, I was not sure that the file had to be stored on a website. I was trying from My Documents. So now I have it on a website but maybe it is too big at 10.7KB. What size should it be?
Bonnie
It has to be at least 100 pixal square....for an avatar....which is really really small. Of you have any trouble let me know and I will try to load it for you....contact me with me email.... icon its below my name
Bonnie
There you are...all fixed. I'll email you the instructions so that you can do the next change yourself and as long as you put your quilts into webshots for storage I will send you instructions also for how to post one or more photos.
