Chocoholic
Great quilt. I can just see you smiling all the way through quilting this one. Not a single boring thing about it. I love your background fills and sashing. By the way, how big are the bugs themselves? Did you quilt in them at all?

dancingstitcher
Some quilts just have your name written all over them Shana. If they put that quilt on TV instead of the "Depression Hurts" ad, so many people would get a smile and a chuckle. Whimsey is you!
Heirloom Quilter
Shana, That is one of the cutest bug quilts I've seen. Your quilting adds so much. A very fun quilt. Good Job!
chickenscratch
Shana, HOw large is the finished quilt. I looked at the pattern, and might order it, depending on the size of the finished quilt.

quiltmonkey
The beautiful blanket stitch was done by machine. Originally posted by chickenscratch Shana, HOw large is the finished quilt. I looked at the pattern, and might order it, depending on the size of the finished quilt. I think it's a lap size quilt. Big enough to toss over you while on the couch or recliner. Originally posted by Hawaii Question - did you "nail" down the applique? or just leave it be?? As I looked at this thing, I did not want to quilt inside the applique bugs or have any of the quilting compete with the beautiful blanket stitching... So, when I was finished, I switched to a monofilament thread and just stitched down along side the blanket stitching in some of the areas inside each of the bug to nail it down. It worked good and you can't see the clear thread. Looks good.
