ffq-lar
Several posts recently have talked of piecing blocks from Dad's or Grandad's old shirts. If the shirts are dress shirts, save the button-down collar points to piece around here and there as "formal prairie points". I saw a beautiful top made from paler striped and tiny-checked shirts where the piecer placed the points around the center block with the buttons sewn to the block and the collars buttoned down. It was very interesting and a brilliant idea. Just a hint to share.

quiltmonkey
I am visualizing these buttoned collars on the quilt; what an interesting thing to do! Quilters are very creative.
