Robin
On Monday a fire in Miles City, MT destroyed many businesses on their historic main street. One business was The Copper Thimble. The owner Gayle Muggli is very discouraged as this is the second time the business has been destroyed by fire. She is ready to quit. The Copper Thimble was the neatest quilt store and it makes me really sad to think about all the quilts on display that might have been lost. Say a prayer for Gayle, please. Robin
Go to milescitystar.com to see a picture of main street. It looks like 911 all over again. So sad.

quiltmonkey
My mom lives in Miles City, so does my aunt and her entire family (which is huge) and they've lived there for generations. I am very saddened to hear this. Miles City is a really nice town. Montana sure has had it's share of bad things happening lately....

Marlette
Robin, so very sad to hear the bad news. I'm sure that Gayle is heartbroken. One good thing....no one was killed. Things, no matter how treasured never measure up to lives lost. I'll keep them in my prayers. MT is my second home and it makes me sad to hear of such terrible things happening to good people. sewhappy
Wow-what's going on here in Montana? First Bozeman then Whitehall and now Miles City?? It is so sad to see another bit of our history in flames! Robyn-I sent you a U2U awhile back-did you get it? Patty

Cheryll
so sorry to hear about the fire. My husband worked at the VA hospital there. He loved the town and people. We visited there last year and enjoyed the historic buildings. It's so sad to lose those historic buildings and all the local people who will suffer from the loss. Quilting Heidi
Very sad to hear about the fire! Gayle must feel very defeated at the moment. I can't imagine loosing my shop twice due to fire! What are the odds of that? Hopefully she will find a way to pull it all together and open her shop again. Prayers to all.
