quiltmonkey Posted April 15, 2009 Report Share Posted April 15, 2009 Well, this never crossed my mind to try to do this (SR + channel locks) because they cancel eachother out, really. SR uses the wheels to control movement and speed. If you have the channel locks on you can't move the wheels, thus you can't use SR. Right? I hope I understood your question. barbm Posted April 15, 2009 Report Share Posted April 15, 2009 Stephanie, I use the SR with channel locks (both directions) all the time without trouble. I use these functions together to stitch a line parallel to the rollers for lining up the quilt top in a partial float. But yes, I have used SR and my vertical lock or my SR and my horizontal lock but not both horizontal and vertical locks together at the same time. That wouldn't work!
