pfrost
This last photo is one of the quilt backing (in this case, a practice piece of muslin) that's been zipped onto the Leader #1 and onto Leader #3. As you can see, the buckling of the zippers can be pretty much controlled, plus if you happen to stitch off your quilt top onto the leader just a bit, you still have some margin for error before hitting the zipper. You may have to take out a few stitches (know this from experience!) if you happen to stitch onto the ticking, but you won't throw the timing off on your machine. Also, if you have to rip out stitches in your quilting, unzip from either the top or bottom end of the quilt--rip out what you need to, then zip back. It's much easier on your back! srichardson
Pat, Thanks so much for posting the photos. I will print them out and then I can refer to them when I do the zippers. I am not too good with just reading things and to have the pictures to refer to is great. Sue

jmcclannan
HI, Kath, I happen to have a set of 108" zippers I bought for my Lenni before I traded up to a Millie. I never took them out of the package! The price when I bought them was $54.99. I will sell them to you if you want them and I'll pay the shipping.
