Rebeccalovesquilts
My machine is finally here and set up. I'm working on fine tuning the tension settings and have been referring to previous posts for help with the towa gauge. Thanks ladies for all your wonderful insights. What books and Dvd's would you recommend for getting started and learning how to use your long arm?
cmoore1223
Myrna Ficken's Beginning Long Arm Quilting and Kimmy Brunner's Beginning DVD are both really good.
carolinequilts
Hi - maybe it is not 'beginner' level, but I really got a kick out of The Art of McTavishing - especially the DVD that came with the book. I even gave it a try after only 3 months with the machine and it doesn't look too bad!
Georgene
All of the above and Dawn Ramarez', Pajama Quilter DVD and Workbook combo. It will encourage you to freehand and show you how to practice.
