Stagecl
Well, it all began with the 16 patch quilt and an alternate quarter square triangle block. I made 80 blocks total, laid the quilt out on the floor and realized that it didn't work. So I remade the quarter square triangle blocks, but couldn't make as many because of lack of print fabric. I also add just some 4 patches every other row. These pictures are in order of the quilts construction. The quilting is a computerized all-over called "White Oak Leaves". It is a really nice warm looking quilt. So now, I have left over 16 patch blocks and 40 quarter square triangle blocks. I put together this next quilt to finish up some of the blocks. I just made a simple 4 in a 4 patch block as an alternate. This one is quilted by computer. The design is a sunflower from Designs by Deb. I still have the left over 16 patch blocks, about 20. So I take apart the blocks down to 4 patch blocks, create an Ohio Star and a 9 patch and sew them together. This one I custom quilted. After I mess up the first one, it became a challenge to see how different I could make the quilts even though many of the fabrics are the same. So this is where my summer has gone:P Now back to a few of the UFO's that are left to finish. Yes, there is binding to be done:o
Stagecl
I forgot about Boo sitting in the middle. For those of you who don't know, Boo has chronic kidney failure. I do SQ fluids every night and the pink top is to keep her from licking everything raw. She is doing well, acting like a kitten (almost) and is going on 3 years since we started. Dang...you get part of my foot in one picture:o

Stagecl
Bonnie, Well, you may need to play tug-a-war over the second one with Kristina, because the first is suppose to my for my older daughter for Christmas. But I really like it so I may keep it for awhile:P:P:P:o

AbigailE
Boo approved the third quilt so obviously that one is the fav. Great use of scraps. I'd never have guessed that they came from one beginning. Shows just how creative you really are! How wonderful to have them finished and off the frame. Boni
I like the Ohio star and checkerboard borders in the orange one. Very bright and cheerful. But then I like the homespun look of the plaids in the first one. Indecisive, I know. I like them all and I love the sunflower with CH design. And I love the kitty--glad she has a good home that cares for her. Thanks for posting the pictures.

LFQuilts
Chery, I love the quilts and the quilting. Great job keeping Boo going for so long. I've done the fluids thing as well and know it is no fun for anyone involved. Lynn
Stagecl
Lynn, You are right the fluids are no fun. I still hold my breath every night when I poke her with the needle:(. She is so good too and just sits still, I can't ask for more from her. Everyone, Thank you for your wonderful comments, it really means a lot. I am very critical of myself. Like in the ohio star quilt, I was trying to do cc's without a ruler and make them symmetrical...what a joke:o and in red thread on the back...duh! So when I started in the blue area with blue thread, I used a circle template and was much happier with the results. Since this is not an heirloom quilt the uneven cc's are staying. So gone are the freehand cc's...rulers all the way. Live and learn.
PattyJo
Great job Cheryl - my favs are #1 and #3 as I like strong contrast. You are really a whiz at using up those blocks. Good going on your part.
kennan100
Wow! Don't you love it when Plan A may have gone down the drain but when forced to come up with Plans B, C, and D they turn out So great! Plus the bonus of more quilts than you started out to make! I love them all but gotta say the third one is my favorite! It really is a bright, cheerful quilt, love that!
Renae
I love them all but #1 is my favorite and I have to admire you for the designs you came up with to make 2 more quilts. WOW!! I like the other two as well. Good going girl and my hat is certainly off to you.
