rpngsmgro
Hello All! I'm thinking about buying a used Ultimate 1. Does this machine have a basting stitch? If you have one, do you like it? Has APQS been good to you as far as customer service goes? Thanks!
lym95
Since an Ultimate I does not have stitch regulation, you have to adjust the length of your stitched with machine movement and machine motor speed. There is an adjustable dial that sets the motor/needle speed. For short stitches move slowly, for longer stitches move faster. This is a GREAT machine for beginners as it only has one button to deal with, the machine is either sewing or off. You have manual vertical channel lock, and with a light touch you will find the horizontal channel lock is not necessary. Hope this answers your question, if you have more, ask or U2U. Katydids
I believe you are referring to the "one stitch" or "single stitch" function??? If so, this was an option on the Ultimate 1 and it would depend if the buyer at that time had it installed. Check with the seller to see it this particular machine has it.
