Shelly
Today I was working on a quilt, and the bobbin thread kept breaking. I changed the needle, wound a different bobbin and even used a different bobbin case. Didn't fix the problem. I am using warm and natural batting with a lot of batiks, could the combination of warm and natural with batiks be causing a problem with the bobbin thread breaking? Myrna Ficken
Hi Shelly, What type of thread are you using. Make sure you don't have your quilt rolled to tightly. This can and will cause thread breakage and tension issues. Myrna
Shelly
I was using Superior Rainbow on top and bottom line in the bobbin, have used this combination many times.... I also have a major amount of batting poking through on the back side of the quilt. Shelly
Myrna Ficken
Usually, If I have batting poking torough the back I have my batting on upside down. That may be causing the thread breakage problem also. Have you switched needle sizes. I don't know that it will take care of the problem though.
