Georgene
I did this quilt in 2007, a few months after getting my machine. I don't always do custom quilting on charity quilts, but this was one of the first quilts I volunteered to do after feeling comfortable with my machine. When I opened the bag, the quilt was so nicely done, that I decided it was worthy of something special and I wanted to try out some of my new Circle Lord "toys." Quilter: Georgene Huggett Piecer: Unknown Member of Peninsula Piecemakers Quilt Guild (Yorktown, VA) -- Made as a Quilt of Valor -- to be given to a wounded warrior. Pattern: 8 Pointed Star from a kit Designer: Unknown Size: About 60" x 75" CL Templates used: 12" Spirals and Rope Border

Georgene
I found the pieced blocks for this quilt on the "freebie" table at our guild. And I had recently seen some of Myrna Ficken's "Creating Spaces" quilts and her DVD. So I tried a few new things. Mary Beth
These quilts are just beautiful! Don't forget to check out the CL blog as mentioned in the first post. Georgene has been very, very busy. There are more pictures posted on the blog too.
Georgene
Actually I haven't been that busy at all recently. The quilts I posted are ones I did in the past. As the rules say, the quilts don't have to be new. One was in my closet, and the others are customer quilts. I just thought I'd get a headstart on posting....while I had the time. yankiequilter
It sounds like Michael wants entries into the CL challenge, so I'm going to post a couple of quilts that I made last year. On this quilt I used the Swirls templates which I think effectively balances all of the straight lines and angles in the piecing. This is a fun and easy template to use. I designed this quilt from fat quarters and quilted it with my Millie and the size is 64" x 76". The colors in the quilt are much more vibrant than what I can capture with a camera. yankiequilter
This is a quilt that was made using the "Wonderful 1 Fabric Quilt" Book. I made this quilt to practice the technique before I make the "real" quilt with the "real" fabric. That is still on my To Do list The quilt is 58" x 68". I used the Clam Shells templates in both the body of the quilt and on the border.
yankiequilter
OK, last posting for today and a lot of you are saying you've already seen these pictures. This is a One Block Wonder quilt that I pieced. It is 58" x 68" A friend in my guild encouraged me to get it quilted and enter it in the guild's show, and when the Sakura template was introduced I knew it was perfect for this quilt. I have to brag a little bit about the quilt. I did enter it in the show, expecting nothing more than feedback from the judge and the quilt won 2nd place in its category and best amateur machine quilting. Thank you, Michael, for a great template! The judge said, "....for the good design that enhances piecing..." It was the perfect template for this quilt! If you love the oriental fabrics and like to make quilts with them, this is also the perfect template for you! Close Up: At the Show:

Georgene
Although this quilt is an allover using only the Swirlz giant template, I can't imagine a design that would have done anymore for it than the Swirlz did. And the fabrics are so cute. This is a customer quilt and it's just so fun to look at. The swirlz look like ripples in the water around the swimming ducks, used as backing fabric. Quilter: Georgene Huggett Piecer: Barbara Long Pattern: Snowball Designer: Unknown Size: 63" x 81" CL Templates used: Giant Swirlz
Hawaii
A friend is into traditional Hawaiian Quilting and has passed along several top for me to echo quilt - which is just not that easy for me to do. I decided to use the CL feathered wreath as part of the design element for my quilting - a fancy way of saying I would rather do Circle Lord than echo-quilting.
