bobbins tension tester

Recommended Posts

Hi Connie,

Each machine runs a little differently. I think a good place to start would be around "20". My machine is fine anywhere between 20-23. It also depends on your upper tension setting. The bobbin tension will need to be increased or decreased depending on how tightly or loosely you run the top thread. I love my TOWA and check each bobbin before loading. There is often a bobbin that needs to be adjusted.

Thanks for the info, I quilted a 90x90 quilt last wso told if the bobbin did not wind correctly this might further add to my problem, also a greasy bobbins won't wind, do you have any things i might like to avoid. It has taken my friend 3 days to "unsew" that quilt. Lesson llearned
