RitaR
I like, " This-away and That-away", or "Here Again, Gone Again". "Here we go loopy loo, here we go loopy lie". Would "Clogging" fit? "Up and Down, Back and Forth"? Ritar
lyonden
Good morning Michael, seems we all like this pattern. How about the "Maze" Great names coming up here. Mary Beth, I see strange things in here. Help, Let me out!!
Judi
Interesting.... at first all I saw was a bunch of "F's" and "M's" in the board, but after you posted the photo of the overall design, I like it more. It really does look like a maze or a woven pattern! Would be great on a turning twenty quilt made out of those flannels that look like wool / tweed - awesome! gardenslug
Michael, I like it in the smaller size that you suggested. My DH will just be so thrilled that you are introducing another new great template. Marilyn
Georgene
But the larger size would take less time to quilt.
circlelord
Rita, Thank you for your suggestions. Glad to see you up and around again. The NoName template will come out in both sizes. One 45" x 15.5", the other 37" x 13 inch approximately. The Large one will work only with the Long arm, the smaller will work with both. Cheers, Michael
Mary Beth
Sooo you are keeping the name under wraps until the unvailing.....clever!!
gable428
Michael, when will you be selling this template? I want one:)
circlelord
Gable, Soon. We are still doing "product engineering", "market management", and "customer approval studies". Sounds like the government, EH? (A little bit of Canadian). I want you to get the best. Cheers, Michael
RitaR
thanks Michael, yup, my goofy being is back up and around, quilting and piecing up a storm. Sure tire out though. Again, thanks, RitaR

Sheri Butler
Whatever happened to this template? I am in the process of looking for a background filler, but in small...really small designs. I think I need to talk to Michael re: some very small intricate background designs. I have drawn up 3 so far..but this one's kinda cool too. A little big for my fillers on some quilts, but hey, it could be made in 3 sizes!!!!! Why not?
Sheri Butler
Here's the on that has the lines horizontal and vertical. I call it maze race.
Sheri Butler
I'd like this, but have them closer together..In other words, I want the 2nd row to be "higher" and really really close to the first row.
Sheri Butler
Here's another crude drawing of what I call "tread" Hoping Michael could maybe get these into a pkg..called treads. tread 4.bmp
Sparkle
I like your Maze Race design Sherri, and the concept of making them smaller. It would be a nice "texture". Especially on masculine quilts or very scrappy. Also great on some batiks. Well---I guess it would be quite nice on a lot of quilts!
Sheri Butler
another tread image.... tread 5.bmp
Sheri Butler
I used paint to draw them, and i'm AWFUL in paint! But, if you can imagine them very small, and "even" they are just beautiful as intricate background fillers. I know we are all looking for those intricate background fillers for so many quilts...wholecloth..and otherwise! Some areas where your tired of McTavishing, or micro-stippling.... etc. We could call them Micro-Treads. Michael...what-cha-think?
yankiequilter
Sheri, we could name your last sketch the Spine. Or Spine Tingler? It is a great idea about smaller filler designs. Hoping Michael can come up with something.
Georgene
I think one with diamond shapes like the horiz/vertical maze lines you drew would be great, and much harder to do freehand, because of the angles.
circlelord
Sheri, thank you for your ideas. I'll get off my lawn chair and work on something. Cheers, Michael
Front Porch Quilting
I think you should name it Effie. It looks like it has F's and E's in it:)
lym95
Perhaps he could do these fillers on a block like he did with the sunburst template, wouldn't be as easy to do a whole row with, but would definitely be easy to do background around applique, etc and being from the front, you would easily see where to start/stop. Sheri Butler
Marjorie, That's exactly what I was thinking! I'm thinking an 18" plate, maybe even divided in half or thirds, as we can easily move that template around anyway...putting it exactly where we want it...and the 18" is perfect! They are inspired from actual tire treads...hence "treads" I love the spine name too! The maze race would be awsome in both BIG templates for the back of the machine, and in mini-micro up for the front of the machine as a background filler! As little as 1/2" per individual square design..= 1/2" for the horizontal in and outs...and 1/2" for the vertical in and outs. Hope you can mini-micro those designs Michael! ... I have a few other's in the back of my head, but not quite figured out yet.. P.S. Michael...that last tread design...the lines are all curved. None of them are straight! I draw horrible in Paint.
