lrooth
I am having trouble getting the stitches on the back of my quilting to look decent. The stitches look good for 2-3 inches and then they look crummy! The stitches are nicely formed and then suddenly the bobbin thread is lieing on the bottom and the top thread is pulled down to the bottom. There doesnt seem to be any rhyme nor reason as to why/when it happens. It can appear on both straight areas and curves. Direction the machine is moving doesnt seem to make a difference nor does SR or non SR. I have tried adjusting tension, switching needles, going slower/faster, changing thread... I've run out of things to try. What am I missing?
meg
check is if you have some lint stuck in the bobbin case. if you use a dental pick, i bet some comes out. it seems like everytime someone posts one of these wonky tension posts, it turns out to be lint stuck somewhere either in the bobbin case or somewhere in the bobbin area. PattyJo
Yes, blow out your bobbin case and bobbin area. I'll bet you see lint flying!!
Zora
I had this problem, too. I was beginning to think I would never solve it. I replaced the bobbin case and loosened the bobbin tension. It stitches like a dream now.
