alayne42
My leaders look the same, but the quilts turn out fine. . . I looked at the "float" instructions on Sharon Schamber's site and it all makes sense except--once she has basted the whole sandwich and has it lying over what would be the bottom roller on our machines, how does she get it to roll back on itself a short ways in order to put tension on the sandwich for quilting? Do you understand what I'm saying? AlayneP City Quilting Seattle
Mary Beth
A friend of mine does a full float and she puts pins across the quilt, in front of the roller that the quilt top would have been pinned to. Then when she gets ready to roll she takes those pins out. She only uses a few pins, just enough to make sure everything is flat and stays put.
