doodlebug
i did something similar couple years back: i held a raffle. for every quilt a customer brought, they received an entry. for every referal they sent (their signature on the back of my business card and the referal had to show the card at quilt drop off) they received an additional entry. the prize was $300 dollar credit towards quilting... it was a big hit. i doubled my client base in a year. i'll have to remember the card...LQSes do it.... Sandra Darlington
I use a "frequent buyer" card. It is on the back of my business cards. After 5 quilts we add up the total price of the 5, then divide by 5 to get the average cost of these 5 quilts. Then divide that amount by 50% and that is the amount they can deduct from their 6th quilt (or any quilt after the 5th one). Customers seem to get excited about that. I also have in writing that my minimum is $50 for all-overs and $75 for custom quilting.
