Northern Girl
Hi Ladies I finally have time to "Play" with my CL, and I am wondering if you"experts" with CL leave your extended base on your machine when using the CL? I am playing from the front on my Liberty and wondering if it makes a difference in your end results, or if it is just personel preference? I currently have my extended base on. I am REALLY liking working from the front. Working from the back I think was what was holding me back. Thanks Michael for the front option, I LOVE IT!! How does anyone get anything done??, I just want to play!! Any thoughts on the extended base ladies?? All suggestions greatly appreciated. quiltingjoyful51
I have run into problems with the base on if I try to work too close to the front bar. Other than that I haven't had to remove it.
mrsbishwit
It's a personal choice, I don't normally keep my extended base on my machine (I have the hartley one) but people with the rulermate base keeps theirs on all the time without any problems (at least I haven't heard of any so far). Bonnie
Since I have the RulerMate it never comes off...CL or just plain quilting.... Joyce...you need to lift your front bar a smig.... you shouldn't have any trouble in getting your base under your front bar...
JustSewSimple
I have a Lenni and don't have a lot of experience with CL but I tried mine with and then without the base. I found that without the base worked best for me.
