291309
the yellow button on the handle on the right seems to be sticking, when I depress it it goes up and down several times instead of up or down. Any ideas?

Katydids
It sounds like it needs an adjustment to the #8 screw. The screw is a potentiometer and it regulates the up/down cycle of the needle. This is common for this to happen as the machine is worn in. what year is your machine? That would be needed to know in order to tell you where this #8 screw is. The adjustment should be in your manual. If not, service can email you the file on how to make this adjustment. It is a simple fix.
JoAnnHoffman
The yellow button is a light touch. If you hold it a little too long you get a full stitch, if you just tap it you get a half stitch. If you tap or hold and the needle continues to go up an down after you let the button go you need to adjust the brass screw under the top hood. Easy adjustment. Janice
I have a Freedom sr and love it , love it, love it. It took a while until I learned the right touch to just get one up & down of the needle with the yellow button. You may be experienceing the same thing.
