Georgene
OK, it was just our local quilt guild with about 250 members. But we had a challenge and I entered my first wholecloth and won 3rd place in Wall Hangings. But, I also quilted the first place winner in the bed quilt category. Remember the Dragon quilt (see next post below), using the new Circle Lord giant mini-clam template that Michael made for me -- along with other freehand designs throughout the quilt. Georgene
I designed this in a class taught by Karen McTavish in Greensboro, NC, using her stencils. It was the Wild Women of Quilting Tour in 2009. But I just got around to quilting it this month.

Primitive1
Both quilts are very pretty, but your wholecloth is absolutely stunning! I think that should have a blue ribbon as well!

Neher-in-law5
Congratulations on the ribbons. The wholecloth quilt is a dream come true. Very nice work and I like the "not the same as all others" of the design. You deserve great credit for them.
RitaR
That is just beautiful, Georgene. You certainly made the grade on the whole cloth. The small clamshells on the Dragon, must have taken a long time. Congrats.. you worked for it and got recognized with a first place, which you richly deserved. IBQLTN2
Beautiful Georgene I love your wholecloth. and your own design that is great!! It is just gorgeous and four roses is a great name for it. I like both of them but given the choice the wholecloth would be first and the dragon second. but you get to claim both so double congratulations. Georgene
Joanne, did you notice that my wholecloth was designed in your original shop location when Karen McTavish and Sue Patten were there last year? Thank you for hosting the class. Remember Karen spreading her zillion stencils on the floor for us to look through and choose the ones we wanted to use, while she walked around barefoot on top of them all? It was fun.
