Using Zippers

I was wondering ~ do many of you use zippers on your canvas and if so, where did you buy them from?

I got mine from the site listed above. I love them. Makes it so much easier to load a quilt - especially big quilts. My back would hurt so bad, but now I can sit at the table and pin on or baste on to the zippers, then just zip them on the leaders. I added an extra "edge" to the zipper sides used for the quilt back/tops. The edge gives you more to pin to and also saves wear and tear on the zippers.

There are several sites that sell the zippers.

Yes, Darlene's directions are excellent and I printed them off before my zippers arrived. The package of zippers also had very good directions (with pictures), so I had all the bases covered. I got an extra set of zippers for just the quilt top/back so if I need to take one project off the frame to work on another, I can easily do that. I even got a zipper to keep on a practice piece, so I can just zip it on whenever I need to practice, test a thread, etc. They are terrific !
