PattyJo
I just got an e-mail from Quilter's Rule which says: If you were planning to visit our booth in Tucson, AZ this weekend we are sad to announce we will not be selling at the show. Sonja who was doing the show called this morning to tell us her cargo trailer with all the merchandise was stolen last night out of the hotel parking lot. She is filing a police report now. I am just sick about this as I'm sure Sonja and the whole Quilter's Rule team is. Not to mention that I'm mad as well.
Primitive1
That is just awful! I don't understand why someone would do something so mean, there are just some really rotten people out there!
quiltmonkey
Oh I have a hunch that trailer will show up and the police will retrieve the goodies inside. Really, who in there right mind would steal a trailer full of curvy acrylic things??? I'll be the theives are saying HUH? What's all this stuff?? Think positive that all will be OK. So sorry this happened...
PattyJo
I agree Shana - I'm thinking positive. In the meantime, I'm also praying for the Police to find it before it is all destroyed because they don't know what it is.
Katydids
Oh, that is scary! I just finished a show in Downtown Jacksonville, and I always worry about my machines in the trailer until it gets unloaded at the convention center. Hope everything works out for her and they find the trailer and thieves.

ffq-lar
I keep hovering here to see a happy resolution of this--please let us know as soon as you hear anything. Scumbags! Don't be messin' with our quilty stuff! (Remember the urban myth of the garbage (or worse) wrapped like Christmas presents and stolen from a car? I bet the thieves felt the same way when they couldn't figure out what they had stolen!)
nora123
You guys should get a couple of big Rottweilers or Pit Bulls and have them sleep by the trailer or in it that way when they open the trailer they will get a BIG surprise. Had a friend once who had a doberman and they went to dinner one night and this person broke into their house. The dog calmly let the thief gather all the booty in a pile and thinking the dog was tame the thief tried to leave and the dog gave him an ass whipping I know he will never forget not to mention the guy got arrested. The dog had him cornered when the owners came home from dinner. Nora
mountainquilter
Hey Nora, My golden would probably help crooks, not corner them and then she would just climb into the car with them and lick them to death. Sometimes I wish she were mean. Diana
PattyJo
this was also on facebook, and one of the posts thought the trailer was probably already in Mexico before Sonja woke up this morning. Who knows, but I know it makes me a little skiderish (if that's a word) about where my trailer is and if it is safe.
RoseCity Quilter
The propably wanted the trailer not the stuff in it! To bad though.
Quilting Heidi
Mmmm I wonder what the theif did when they figured out what they had stollen! I guess if we see lots of Quilters Rule items hit ebay we'll know who took it. Sad that people have to be theives!
DB
Heidi, I was thinking the same. I bet Quilters Rule items will be hitting ebay. I wonder if the police monitor that site for activity. What slugs to steal from someone else. I feel so bad for Sonja. Maybe I'll go on her web site and order some stuff that I "need" to help make up for lost show sales. Dianne
JustSewSimple
I guess all trailors need to be brightly painted with your logo and ads so they can be easily identified if stolen. I guess we have gotten to a place in our world today we need a GPS chip installed in anything that can walk away. I heard just the other day where a guy "lost" his new high dollar phone and tracked it down to someone's house and the police got it back for him. Turns out someone who worked at the airport stole it from him when he laid it down. The thief got fired. I know some cars can be tracked down. It is something to think about. If the items show up on ebay, perhaps ebay can report who and where they are.
o2b Quilting
I know that all of us watch this forum and ebay, craigslist, etc to find a "good buy" for all the extra toys and tools we use. I for one will be very cautious of purchasing any from anywhere other than this forum. I refuse to support a crook!!
Sheri Butler
OMG, Tell her i'm so sorry! I hope they catch those theives for that crap! (sorry) just tick's me off. Son used to live in AZ, and all the crap that goes on down there, stealing, etc.
Bekah
So sorry to read about this. Patty Jo please get a BIG watch dog to live in your trailer. This just makes me sad and mad. Tell her she is in all our thoughts and prayers for recovery of the items and her trailer.

SandraC
I think that Shana's idea will happen...that they'll abandon the goods once they figure out it's not maybe what they thought. I think that up here this summer, something similar happened but it was a trailer that was transporting animals and the driver had hunkered down for the night in a motel. I seem to think the animals were something like tigers. What a surprise for the thieves.....the truck was found later with animals intact and safe. PattyJo
I haven't heard anything on it yet. I'm afraid that it is probably long gone down to Mexico. If only some of those rulers would have teeth and growl a bit. Tucson is close to the border and most of the border towns have stuff like this happening all the time. It is sad to say, but that is the way it is. I'm still praying about it and I'm still angry about it too.
Melora
To all who haul with trailers consider this the best investment. Yes It is expensive but it may be cheaper then your deductable http://www.universalboot.com/index.php/anti-theft-products-category No I don't work for this company this is just an example Melora
ffq-lar
I was talking with Bonnie B about this. She said they put a hitch lock on the ball hitch and then run a heavy duty chain/cable bike lock through the wheel openings to try to keep the trailers/quads in the yard. You never know when they will try to escape!
PattyJo
Thanks Melora & Linda R for the tips. I think I see some more equipment in my future. I don't want to have this happen to me.
