LadyLake
I would like to purchase a gravity feed iron for piecing and would appreciate hearing from you all regarding your experiences. I was going to get a Sussman, but learned that Sussman no longer makes irons (although some stock is still available through retailers.) I have also learned that several companies have gone out of business due to the economy. I have already read the posts on irons through the Search function on the Forum but am looking for updated information you may have now. TIA! carolinequilts
I have a Silver Star gravity feed iron. I think you can still get it at Atlanta Sewing Supply company. I love it! I've had it for almost 10 years and narry a problem!
RoseCity Quilter
I got Silver Star gravity feed irons for both my studio at home and our classroom at the store after talking to the Home Economics teacher at our high school. The School's Silver Star is 20 years old and still going strong. Love mine, some students with arthritis do not as it is a little heavy.
