Newpersononblock
Is it the smaller the stitch the more the pattern stands out? I know it seems like a silly question. But not for newbies like me.

quiltjunkie
I don't know about standing out more but on regulated mode I stay around a 10+ and for micro stippling a 12, lower than 10 the stitches are too big and smaller are a nightmare to rip out and my customers have commented they they like my stitch size..so I guess it's just right. Hope that helps Hester:cool:
SherryRogers
This may be un-conventional but here is what I do. I turn the stitch length to the smallest available stitch, ALL the way to the right. Why you ask? It seems to give me a smoother stitch and better control for backtracking. Yes, they are small stitches, but since I am using the SR, they are ALL the same size and consistancy in stitch lenght is what is important. Try it, you might like it! Mary Beth
okay, here is a silly question...when you turn your stitch size up doesn't that make your machine go faster?? (With a SR). I need to be able to keep up with the machine wihtout feeling like it is trying to race me.
SherryRogers
Mary Beth If you are using the SR, you can move as fast or as slow as you want to. Remember, it only stitches when YOU move the head. WITHOUT the SR engaged you would definetly be in a race to keep up.
