CJQ
I have a quilt that has a minkee back. I have quilted with minkee backs and have had great success. I want to use my swirls boards but am not sure if it will be too much quilting on the minkee. Any thoughts?
yankiequilter
I've ever used minkee but recently qulted a fleece throw with the CL swirls board and it turned out great. I would think swirls would be just fine on minkee. Here's a link to the pictures of the fleece: http://apqs.com/quiltboard/viewthread.php?tid=24475&page=1#pid307192
Primitive1
Jane, I did one last year that had minkie for the backing...just be careful as it is so stretchy, make sure that you use the finished edge (I can't remember what it is called) to mount to your leaders...but it should be fine...I used a ribbon like panto and here is how mine turned out... Let us know how it goes...
ffq-lar
Here is a swirls quilt by our own Bonbon. The backer is even thicker than Minkee and it was fabulous!
