PattyJo
Shana - well, we will have to get together if at all possible. Will you stay up in Portland, or here in Salem? No matter, where ever you are, we can still get together. ;)

PattyJo
Thanks everyone for your comments & Roxanne, thanks for feeling sorry for me, that's what it's all about you know!! :P:P I really wasn't sure that I could do this one when I got it because I could see that the borders were going to be a bear. . . . .but it came out pretty good considering and I'm happy that it's off the frame and done. nineva
Ok, PJ, I admit it I am laughing my a-- off. I am so glad you got this quilt and not me. Another good reason not to do customer quilts. Primitive1
Great job Patty Jo!!! So it's true - you can actually "quilt it out!" :P:D, seriously, it came out very nicely and your customer will get better each time with her piecing - it is good that she keeps on quilting and learning! Bekah
Patty Jo you are a wonder woman!! But I am not surprised that you got it to look so pretty. I love you motif, I may have to borrow it. LindaB
Sounds like there's going to be a party in Portland for MQX West.....count me in too...!!! PJ: Terrific job on that "sow's ear" ....you definitely made a silk purse out of it girl.....great job!!!
mrsbishwit
You deffinately worked your magic on this one Patty Jo. Good thing the border fabric was mostly busy, no one will ever notice those pleats. :P
PattyJo
Thanks everyone. My customer came and picked it up just a bit ago and we had a 10 min. teaching time on how to cut setting triangles, and how to attach borders. It's like I told her, I made all these same mistakes until someone showed/told me different. We've all been there, so she left a happy camper. Shana - I'm looking forward to that "party in Portland" with as many of the Moxies and others that we can round up. I may be out of town during part of MQX West, but there is a day or two before I would have to leave to throw a party.

Butterfly
Patty Jo, I instantly felt sorry for you when I saw that first pic. A super wavy border is not a happy thing. But you did a marvalous job with it and hopefully your customer will give you a nice flat one next time so you can just focus on the design....the fun stuff. Sandra Darlington
I love how you quilted those crazy borders. I just drew a picture of your triangle block design and plan to use it on a quilt I currently have on the frame. Thanks for the idea.

I will probably stay at my Happy Valley sister's house since it's right there near downtown Portlandia and I can save $$ on hotel and spend more $$ on quilty stuff...
