Anne from Guam
O Wise Ones, Please help! I am doing two baby quilts at the same time for a friend. I checked the tension and THOUGHT it looked fine, until I advanced the quilts and I have green dots of the top thread on the white back! I used white thread in the bobbin. Will this kind of problem come out in the wash? (Please say yes!) Note to self: wear glasses when checking the back!
Quilting Heidi
Anne, The answer is "it depends." LOL that was big help wasn't it. How big are the dots? If you haven't washed the fabrics it might shrink enough and pull the green in but sometimes it doesn't do that. I'll say yes though if it makes you feel better. Anne from Guam
The dots are pretty small...I did get the tension looking good about halfway through. I'm going to try dampening and drying some of the stitches to see if the green dots go away. Thanks.
Quilting Heidi
Well hopefully the fabric will just pull those dots in. Isn't it just so frustrating when you get them? Been there done that!
Jedsews
I get them at times too, it is quite frustrating when you think, ah, I am doing so good! LOL
zeke
In the wash, most likely they will. Though, it seems that you might want to tighten your top thread a tad or loosen the bobbin. Your thread isn't quite in the middle. zeke........
