MastiffMomQlt
I'm sorry to ask, but I don't know what a Moxie event is. Would someone be so kind as to explain this to me? It looks like fun, but how can one be a Moxie? Is there a Michigan Moxie group? Please enlighten the ignorant
ffq-lar
Start a Michigan group. You are welcome to use the name. Contact enthusiastic longarmers to set up a first meeting. Laugh, eat, share your work, share your quilting triumphs and problems, hints and tips, favorite tools, and then before you end the meeting, set up a date and place for the next one. Like a guild without the business meeting. No dues. No Queen bees. Just friends. We shoot for 4 meetings a year but don't meet November through February. Too many quilts before Christmas and questionable traveling weather after. Our group is casual--the most we have had at a meeting was 27 and the fewest was 8--that was the ice storm meeting. No president or officers (except for our King Jim!--he and his DW Bev embroidered us all hats and name tags)--full of talented generous longarmers and wannabees. If you want a group to meet, make it what you want it to be.
MastiffMomQlt
That sounds like fun! I only know of one LA'ers in my area, but I'm sure there are lots. I'll have to give this some thought. Thanks, Linda
