Neher-in-law5
The house looks great. Those double doors upstairs were probably planned for a master bedroom--I bet instead it would make a great studio. You could step out and enjoy the balcony any time you wanted (with the heat factor that might only be in time to star gaze!) Congratulations and have fun. Kay Anderson
I'm glad you all are interested, the home is in Cibolo, TX. Actualy, the Master br is downstairs. Those french doors on the balconey will open right into my studio area! It was intended as a gameroom (isn't quilting the best game???). It is 18'x13 1/2' wide! Perfect for my Gammill. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 full baths. No more running up and down to go to the little girls room. I could go up there and stay all day!! And since the studio will be upstairs and the family roon and MB are down, I can quilt without disturbing my DH. I am so excited I can't stand it!!! Kay Anderson
I'll tell you, it's getting harder to do this moving thing. I had hoped the Kansas house would be the last one. But, here we are again. It's going to be a lot of work to get it all done. Anyone want to make a trip to San Antonio, TX area and help me move? o2b Quilting
You will need a small refrigerator for beverages and a snack cupboard...then you won't need to go downstairs!! Good luck with the move. It is sooo much work!!
sharni
Beautiful House! Looks like a quilter should live there. You will find a way to get it in. Some people rent a crane to put a baby grand upstairs through a window..... so why not a quilting table?
Kay Anderson
I'm liking the frig and snackbar idea!! Oh, and one other great feature. We have 5 grandchildren, 4 of them under 11 yrs old, and right accross the street is a brand new playground! They are going to love coming to grandma's house!!! IQuiltToo
Kay, a beautiful home and a nice studio! And, with the french doors it looks like it will be easy to move your table/head right up to the balcony and straight thru the doors!
LeeAnn
What a great space! WTG in finding a house that needs a longarm!!
quiltmonkey
Oh yeah Kay if you can't carry it up inside the house, you will have NO PROBLEM getting any of your long stuff up lifted up through the outside french doors if necessary!!
PattyJo
Love your new home and that studio is just the right size. Not too big and yet big enough for the Longarm. When you get it all set up, be sure and post more pictures for us.

Kay Anderson
I just want to tell you all how much you mean to me!! The past 2 years have been hard, and you, all of you, have been there when I'm down, when I'm up, and everywhere in between. I've learned so much from the ladies and gents on this forum. When I got here I knew only my ML and my husbands brother and wife. I was lonely and I turned to this forum for company, advice, and to ease the stress. Thank you all for being who you are. A life-line is what this forum has been to me. God Bless you all!!
quiltmonkey
I met you at MQS, Kay, a couple of years ago. Remember? Sometimes when we meet people for the first time we get this impression of someone we don't forget and you associate that first impression always? Well let me just tell you that my first impression of you... you were sitting there at the table by escalators. You had a lovely kind smile and the feeling of peace and kindness was about you. I will never forget that.... so when I think of Kay, I remember a pretty lady with a genuine kind smile. You are a sweet lady. I am glad you found a nice home and things are going well. dancingraisin
Kay--I say you need a snack bar I once saw in a fancy model home: coffee pot, microwave, undercounter fridge drawer, single DW drawer, single sink. Tell hubby that your deserve it!
Oma
Beautiful house. You will be in heaven for sure. My stepdaughter's (the one I gave the quilt to and just graduated from UNLV) mother lives in Cibolo, TX. Small world isn't it?
Front Porch Quilting
Kay isn't it wonderful that you can take all of us with you too! Beautiful house, great quilt room---I think I feel a gentle breeze coming through the double doors...don't you? Good luck with your move, don't envy you there! Lots of work but think of how fun it will be deciding where things go.:)
Kay Anderson
Shana, you are so kind! I remember you well. We still hope to come to Alaska for a vacation, just a little delayed. I'm so excited about the new house. Things are happening so fast! We have the final walk through on Thursday this week. We will be taking our time to do the move. DH is going to do it all himself with a little muscle from his brother. We have this rental untill the end of June, so we can take our time. It's only about 10 miles to the new house from here.
