AHuffman
I just pulled this quilt off the frame and thought I'd share it. I also exported a screenshot of the layout in IQ so you can see the motif's better. I love how IQ let's me layout an entire quilt so I can easily spot secondary pattern opportunities. In this case I laid out 3/4 of the quilt and then rotated it when I got to the bottom since it is symmetrical. I used the line pattern feature in the concentric circles on the center Dresden Plates which allowed me to match her piecing exactly. I just clicked in the corners and dragged out an arch! I should have done a quick video of this because I think it is so very cool! I have freehand curls and freehand meanders in the Dresden Plates along with freehand ribbons extending out from the roses in the setting triangles. The rest is IQ. If you want to see more photos, check it out . on my blog

Marg Layton
What a beautiful job you did on this quilt, Angela. Thank you for going into details as to how to accomplish this with IQ. Wish you could come up here and teach me a thing or two! (it would probably be much more than that lol) Marg Layton
