Busy Quilting
I have just taken this customer quilt off the machine. It has Amish blocks and colours and the customer likes heavier quilting. The feathered borders are only 4" wide. Quilted with So Fine 410 and Bottomline 649. Hand pieced in the centre but the borders were machine pieced and a lot larger. SO heaps of starch and steam on this one.

Beachside Quilter
Beautiful quilting, Lyn. Did you use a template or stencil to mark the feather border? It is perfect for this quilt! All looks fabulous; well done!!

Busy Quilting
I marked the centre line of the border, then used the smallest of the "Nautilus Feather Tools" to stitch the spine. Started at the end of the spine with the feathers working your way back down on the inside curves, then go back up doing the feathers on the outside curves. I purchased the Nautilus Tools from Quilters Rule at Houston, I should have bought the book too so I can see how else to use them. I used to draw these circles on with a cardboard template I had made, then freehand them. The Nautilus is so much easier. Lyn
