driving north on I75

Recommended Posts

Will be driving north on I75 from Chattanooga on into Michigan. Any cool quilt shops we should not miss along the way ... Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio? With stores closing left and right because of the economy (or whatever - acts of nature like tornadoes), want to visit those that are still open ... duh ... sorry, that was a stupid remark. of course we want to visit the OPEN ones! Thanks for any suggestions. I'm going to go and get my big ol' foot out of my mouth now ...:o

While Fabric Shack has regular hours, some of the many shops in Waynesville have closed in the past couple of years, and the current shops may have limited hours during weekdays. Enjoy your visit, great shop, good variety of fabric and decent prices.

The Glass Thimble in Columbus, OH. It is near the Ohio State Campus. The front and lower level are dedicated to stain glass art (the husbands interest) and the other half is quilt fabrics (the wife's interest). Great fabrics! I haven't been there in 10 years, so make sure it is still open.

I have been to Hancock's of Paducah in the past ... for this trip, it's miles away from I-75 so not on the itinerary. Might be able to swing over to Columbus, OH ... again, not really off I-75 but if we leave a day earlier might be able to make it. Thanks for all the suggestions! And I'll be calling ahead to be sure that they are open!
