Liam
Fires are so scary! Thankfully it wasn't any worse! We had a fire about 5 years ago, during the night. A electrical fire in the furnace. The smoke detector was wired wrong and the breaker kicked off, so the alarm never went off. My Scottie dog woke me by jumping on my chest while barking, saved us and the house. Now I have electric and battery smoke detectors both.

Gator
OMG, glad everything is ok. You sure have had your share of problems. Now onto a "new" laundry room. I'm terrified of fire, I unplug the entire house when I have to go away for any length of time. My only piece of mind is ADT.
Dave-Jane
Fires can be so scarry!!! Some friends lost their home to fire - was determined a mouse chewed through the wiring to the stove. So, you just never know!! Glad it was not worse than it was!!
Pennyquilts
thanks everyone, we are doing fine, the house no longer smells, and randy has pulled all the burnt siding and wall board off. The floor can't be saved so that will have to be replaced which is FINE with me!!
