kimmiequilts
LOL I stack it and gather it and even help with the wood splitter but I do not use the chainsaw! God bless you Penelope! I love my wood stove and my fireplace, there's nothing warmer than wood heat!
quiltingjoyful51
This is too funny, I too was cutting wood this morning. Husbands chain saw wouldn't start so I used the saw-all for the small branch I need to remove for the pool we are putting in for the grands. delld
I don't even want to think about anything that has to do with heat!!! And wood and chain saw does! I'm impressed to!
Boni
Maybe you should get out the old ax and build up your muscles? Oh, I remember the days we had wood heat. Bless you!
sharni
Who says we women can't use power tools. Look at the size of those quilting machines we command with ease!
CWBowser
I had to buy an electric chain saw because I couldn't lift and hold a gas power one for very long. Getting old stinks.
Guest Linda S
My brother and I used to cut and split firewood from the logging on my sister-in-law's property and sell it by the cord. Those days are long gone for me. I do kind of miss the chainsaw though. It was fun to use.

Stagecl
I split 3 cords of wood last summer. Then we moved and left it behind...oh well...the exercise was good. I agree that getting old is not fun. I can't believe how fast time is passing! I'll be 60 in 4 years...egads!
francine
Doesn't 60 seem so much younger than it did say..20 years ago?

My ex left just before winter. The salesman didn't want to sell me that one either.
francine
HOLY CRAP! I DON"T THINK I EVER COULD HAVE USED A 42". And those old M's were HEAVY. You rock! Maybe you should come play chain saws by day Millie at night:D Ohio isn't that far.... oh, the frustrations i "split" back then(30 years ago) my ex ....kindling i made lots and lots of kindling. s.waits
And here I was, thinking I was the only woman around with her own chain saw. Mine is a Poulan, and is a PITA to crank, but once she gets going, there's no stopping us. Way to go girls!
Boni
I don't run a chain saw now, but I do wield a rototiller, leaf blower, and brush whacker---as long as DH keeps the little fuel cans full! That's my concession for being over 60.
Zora
One of the first pieces of advice I received when we moved to a small farm in the Ozarks was from a lady who told me "Whatever you do, don't let him teach you how to run the chainsaw." No problem!

No problem! LOL No kidding. I didn't tell my ex I knew how so he thought I would beg him to come back to cut the wood. My dad was afraid of it and I need the wood, so you know the rest. I don't think I could pull the rope today.
Norma H
I also used to use a Husky - no more. Gave it to our son in Colo to use. We moved into a townhouse, so no more yardwork or cutting the fireplace wood - yeah! this one doesn't use wood - miss the smell of the wood, but not the work - just push the button
