srichardson
Is there a right/wrong side of QD wool and 70/30 battings? There is nothing on the packaging about one particular side being up or down. I thought it would be a good idea to ask rather than find out the hard way! LinneaMarie
I think on the wool it does not matter. I do think on the 70/30 it's the same as cotton; dimples up, pokies down.
newmillie2010
i use QD 70/30 quite a bit and I started out doing the 'pin' test ... stick pin into batting and whichever side is resistive, that side goes down. however, i soon discovered that QD 70/30 does not have a resistive side. so it doesn't really matter which side goes up/down. but it doesn't hurt to go dimples up, pokies down. i've used this on a lot of quilts and have never had an issue. go for it! Quilting Heidi
There is no right or wrong side.
Guest Linda S
Actually, if you look at the Dream Blend batting on the Quilters Dream site, it does say that the blend has a light scrim. You'd need to put that side down. The Wool and the Puff are thermally bonded, so there is no right side for those.
srichardson
Thanks. I knew someone out there would know the answer. Sue
quiltlover03
When I use pre packaged batting, I always put the side with the outside fold creases towards me...never had a problem yet.
Corey
I actually called QD, wool they say has no right or wrong side, like what Heidi said. Corey
