Sandra Darlington Posted June 29, 2011 Report Share Posted June 29, 2011 My son, Bob, lives in Los Alamos, NM and works at LANL. He was evacuated Monday afternoon due to the fires. He is staying with friends in Santa Fe and booked a flight home this weekend. He expects to stay here for a week, hoping he will be able to return home by then. His ex, Cari, is a fire fighter based in Los Alamos, so she is out fighting these awful fires with her crew. Please say some prayers not only for Bob & Cari, but for all of the people that live in the Los Alamos area and especially for those who are risking their lives to fight the fire and protect the lab and the town. I am just getting home from work, so after I quickly check out the forum, I'm going to turn on CNN to see the updates. Thanks for everyone's concern and prayers. Those folks sure need them.
