Guest Linda S Posted July 1, 2011 Report Share Posted July 1, 2011 Every kind of machine has what is called a belly bar. That's the bar that hits you in the belly when you're quilting. However, the APQS frame is configured differently than say, a Gammill. On a Gammill, the quilt top bar is down below the backing bar. On an APQS, you'd be quilting in "the well."
