WestieMom Posted July 3, 2011 Report Share Posted July 3, 2011 My MIL was diagnosed with Vulvar cancer a while back. She had surgery on June 21st and this past Friday we received the best news ever! Although the tumor was large, the doc staged the cancer at stage 1...great news! The tumor is gone along with lymph nodes from one side and a nice clean margin all around. I would have updated you sooner, but we've been busy running back and forth from the hospital and now back and forth from her home. We lost my FIL many years ago so my MIL is alone. We've been making sure someone is with her day and night. She's recuperating nicely and has very little pain...seems the doc cut quite a few nerves. She will require a little radiation just as an extra precaution. Anyway, I just wanted to share the good news with all of you and thank you again for your prayers when I first posted her diagnosis!
