Needle position

I have a Lenni (and I love her), but when I stop sewing, the needle is always down, in my quilt. I have to lift it manually. How can I make the adjustment to the needle to stop up with a touch and down with another, as I see in the videos?

Hi Eliana.

With a Millennium, if you start with the needle down, you will stop with the needle down. And up if it's up. Check your manual for the needle-positioning button. The home page says the Lenni's have a two-stage needle positioner.

The white button on the left is your needle up needle down on Lenni. I have a Lenni and if you start with the needle up you stop with the needle up and same goes if you start with the needle down thats how you end. If it ends needle down and you want it to come up you should be able to just touch the white button once and it will bring it to the opposite position of where it is. Hope that makes since.

Thanks for responding, Linda and Connie, but when I press the left button, the needle moves without stopping, until I press it again. We've tried to make the adjustment, but what happens is that the movement is slower, but the needle is always in motion, until the button is pressed again.
