ffq-lar Posted July 27, 2011 Report Share Posted July 27, 2011 Recently Teresa (I think) was looking for sampler block ideas. This just came off the frame. At intake, my first suggestion for the light diagonals made by the Log Cabin blocks was the standard feathers--very pretty and they really show. But she reminded me that I had used feathers on a similar quilt she brought a couple of years ago, so that was out. I used my stand-by "fill her up with scrollwork" design on both sides of the LC blocks. I love her colors and the quilting really showed on the sampler blocks.
