ffq-lar Posted August 5, 2011 Report Share Posted August 5, 2011 I am amped! I just got home from our County Fair and my wonderful customers were well represented in the ribbon department. "We" garnered 7 blue ribbons. ( I never get one--our fair only awards to the owner of the quilt.) One quilt had a blue and a Judge's Choice ribbon. And one had a blue, a Champion for the quilting, a Best of Class for the quilt, and a Grand Champion ribbon for the quilt for the entire "home arts" building. The piecer is just venturing into the show circuit and this has encouraged her greatly. Thanks for letting me toot my own horn--you are always so supporting! Here is a photo of the Dear Jane that won--she customized the scallops on the outside of the piecing and added a deep border to make it bed-sized.
