Deb2bie
Love Sheena's dress and now the tree skirt!!! it is stunning in both uses!!! My cousin ahd her wedding dress made into a Christenming gown for her children. Her dress was white cotton eyelet. Both dresses were beautiful and so much better used in this way. hollyc
I have seen this done with baby/ little girl dresses. They are basically appliqued to the quilt top. I can't imagine doing that to a full size wedding dress though. It would be a fun project to tackle.

donnavans
The tree skirt is absolutely lovely. What is the name of the pattern for the Christmas tree skirt? I really like this pattern. I am doing a Christmas tree skirt using Christmas fabrics for my son and daughter-in-law. I would like to use this pattern.
JUDY-MN
I started with "SnowFalling on Cedars/Tannenbaum Tree Skirts" by Aardvark Quilts. I changed things up from a finished size of 37" diameter to 82" diameter. To make my "stars" I changed the width of the piecing so it finished at 4" & 2" for the stripes when sewn together. I also used a cotton foundation & sewed my stripes to that as the satin just wanted to stretch even with a iron on interfacing on it. So, needless to say I didn't use the directions, just did it my way. Thanks for looking. Happy Thanks Giving to All!
